Because a docking station is out of the question for my 15" PB, I was wondering if there was hub of some kind that connects either by USB or FireWire? Ideally, this hub would include a couple USB ports and maybe a FireWire 400 and 800 port as well as audio in and out. I was looking at the RePorter by Marathon computer which includes all of these options above, however, it connects via USB 2.0. To my recollection, USB 2.0 has a maximum transfer rate of 480Mbps, which would slow any FireWire 800 devices attached to a maximum of 480Mbps.
So my question is whether or not anyone knows of a device that has similar features to the RePorter by Marathon Computer (plus a few more USB ports) but connects to a FireWire 800 port.
