Had got glue residue on the frame of my iPhone. In my wisdom when the yellow soft side of the sponge was not doing anything, I used the green side. Glue residue came off, a bit too well I might say. Looks like my old iPhone 4 now.

That looks sick! I wish Apple would return to the brushed stainless steel sides for the upcoming iPhones. The current flat glossy sides just feels weird to me imho.
Haha thank you, it’s only been a minute but I’m liking it. Doesn’t seem to be getting all fingerprinty too.
I would hope for titanium instead of steel because steel is too heavy for their fat phones.

Apple seem to have this weird inversion with their current line up. The vanilla iPhones have matte sides, glossy backs and matte camera housings, whereas the Pros have glossy sides, matte backs, and glossy camera housings. With any luck they'll ditch this for the 14 and give us a completely matte Pro.

I thought that it’s fine until I got to pic 3.The whole side of the SSframe is rusted.
I’m not sure if there is a frame repair, but that looks awful.

No, that's the glue residue OP had on his phone originally. In his attempt to remove them he inadvertently ended up with brushed stainless steel sides on his phone.

I think, it's glue residue before clean up with sponge.. Not actual look.

I like it.

The longer I have my 13 Pro, the more I find the polished steel feels chintzy and looks tacky. It looks good in their product photos, though - maybe that’s the point.

Brand new rear system just a few weeks ago, Picture 3 was the glue which indeed looked like doo-doo.
I still remember the SSframe on ip 4, brushed
It is just like my old iPhone 4, indeed.

The shiny sides look stunning when : A. They have no fingerprints B.They have no scratches. Both of which are not possible in the real world :)

Interesting that the shiny edge is soft enough that only the abrasive side of a sponge will knock it down. That being said, it does look nice!
Yes! I didn’t expect the sponge to do anything to the steel. All minor scratches also disappeared, blending into the brushed finish.

Gutsy to use a green pad — but looks pretty good. You could using those ultra fine pads that jewelers use, just to fine tune the brushing effect. Nice save!

It looks like if Apple would do a silver titanium finish. Man that looks lit ?.
.
I'm wondering how you brush off the gap between volume button though with that big sponge. Did you use the corner of the sponge to brush it off?
