Not sure if this is the correct thread - if not please move, or inform me of the proper thread.

Anyways...when my most recent itunes receipt arrived it had several purchases on there that I did not make - they were mostly for camera and video apps and my ipod does not even have a camera! The only good news is that I only use gift cards to purchase apps - so I have no credit card info on there. I have contacted apple and await their responce.

So:

#1. has anyone heard of this?

#2. Any way to rectify the situation, or find out who made the purchases?

#3. Any suggestions as to how to prevent this from happening again?

thanks,

a good way to protect online accounts (in general) is to keep your email password different from all your other accounts. i am not sure how this happened, but if somebody has access to your email, then they immediately control far too much. change all passwords that have the same one as your itunes account as well.

another good thing is that you didnt have your CC info stored on the itunes account, that is very lucky.

I thought that might be the reason - I have changed my passwords.

Could it be from being on a wifi accound that is not password protected?
