Hi,

I MyCloud EX2 Ultra. On iPhone I add My Cloud to File app. So on iPhone I use the same iterface for MyCloud and iCloud and I realy like it.
But for MacBook I have to use web app My Cloud. Is possible to add My Cloud to Finder, like on iPhone?

Thanks

First you have to activate SMB via the Dashboard:
Manage Device > [verify yourself] > local network access > On
Set a local_username and local_password.

Then you can connect from your Mac via Finder.app > Go > Connect to server

If you save your credentials into macOS' keychain, you can drag the network share from Finder into your login items to mount it automatically.

Thank you for answering. Does it work just in local network or can I use this out?

Mounting the share in 'Finder' from outside of your local network works if you set up a VPN connection in your router (you probably also need DynDNS) and configure your Mac accordingly.
The same is possible to access our files with an iPhone/iPad.
But please do your research before you open your router for remote access.

Given the name 'Cloud', Western Digital probably offers their own solution/apps but I have no experience in that regard and WD is known for the occasional security flaw.
