I recently bought the Panasonic AG-DVC7, and I am very happy with it. My only problem is that when I plug in the external mic, it creates a loud humming noise on the recorded audio. At first I thought it was just the microphone that was messed up, but after trying a few different mics, I realized it was the camera. I called the Panasonic help hotline, and they told me that I needed to buy a certain part or mixer because the model type is messed up or something stupid like that. Does anyone know what exactly I need to buy in order for this to work? Please, It would be very kind of you to answer back, thank you very much.

Are you sure it's not the mic cable?

that seems to cause more problems for me than the mics.

One of the wires could be messed up or the ground shield could be bad.
