Need Help Fixing Computer at work

I just degaussed the screen on an old powermac g4 and now the computer will not start up, it appears dead. I am at work and need advice.thanks

Ouch, you might have nuked the hard drive. Isn't that tool just a big circular magnet? Best of luck, hopefully you just blew a fuse, try plugging it in somewhere else and hooking it up to a different monitor.

Tool or Software?

Did you do it with a tool or through a software application?

I used the software application in system prefrences and after I clicked the button the whole thing powered off like someone unplugged. Now it wont even start up like it isnt plugged in or something. (of course it is plugged in) I am prettty sure it is dead. I just hope my bosses dont mind too much

So it acts as if there is no power at all? Try resetting the PMU?

1. Reset PMU
2. Replace PRAM battery

Degaussing the monitor shouldn't effect anything else.

Yeah the monitor should be shielded so it should not kill the machine....
