I have a IIfx system whose power circuit appears to be acting up. I was able to confirm that the system itself works, by jump starting it with a couple AA batteries: it booted and ran perfectly. But, alas, the power button itself doesn't do anything.

What should I look for in diagnosing this? I already tested the legs on UJ18 and saw that they're getting 5V. The board was also re-capped and cleaned, and fresh clock batteries were installed.

If you'd like me to provide photos of specific areas, do let me know and I will attach some. Thank you

Carefully check the caps with a magnifying glass. To make sure all are making contact. All it takes is one solder crack. Also check all fuses.
