Hi

I have an iPhone 4s with IOS 5.1.1 which stocked during a self update and now is in recovery mode :confused:. I need to recover contact data which is critical. I have no backups and tried many recovery softwares such as wondareshare Dr. fone and others but they cannot recover files either in dfu or recovery mode. also tried tinyumberella and reiboot to kick it out of recovery but they all freeze. can anyone give me a hint or solution for this? :(

There's a great possibility that some sync to cloud service is used, and the contacts on the cloud are gone. After the restore, the sync happens, then the contacts on iPhone 4s are also gone. So, try to disconnect the network, and then disable all the contact sync apps. When the app is found, reconnect the network.

In addition, there are at least 5 ways to recover iPhone contacts:
1.Using iPhone data recovery software to scan the iPhone or extract contacts from iTunes;
2. backup;
3. Copy from old phone's SIM card;
4. Restore with iCloud;
5. Sync with Google contacts...
