New "DJing on the Mac" guide

Hi folks,

I'm just starting to get into DJing on my PowerBook and it took me ages to find out what equipment I needed to start, what programs were out there, what DJs used what and so on.

After discussion on the site feedback forum, I thought it might be useful to start a guide on this topic, so here it is:

Please feel free to contribute in any way you can as I'm sure this could be built up in to a useful resource!

I'm still figuring out the wiki mark up format that's used on the guides, so it's going to be gradual process on my part.

Nice to see this, keep it up.

I'll post a few programs I use, or have tried in the past and you can feel free to add them if you'd like. Most of these are more basic programs compared to what you have listed.

VirtualDJ (http://www.virtualdj.com)

Out of those ones, I will always prefer VirtualDJ as it was one of the first one's I started to play with on my PC a while back when it was known as Atomix MP3. The new Mac version of VirtualDJ was recently released, but unfortunately a demo is not yet available.

Numark Cue is just a copy of VirtualDJ with a different name as far as I can tell. I have not tried it yet though.

That's all I can think of right now, but keep up the good work!
