I'm going to install a new 250 gig hard drive in my MBP 2.16 Core 2 Duo. What is the simplest way to transfer data from the old drive to the new one? I may have access to an external drive but that is not guaranteed.

Suggestions?

if you can get an enclosure just stick your old HD in there and copy everything back to the new one. Or get an external drive copy from your current internal and then copy back to the new one. otherwise the only way I know of is to burn a lot of DVDs.
