I just looked up the EU regulation that forced Apple to switch their phones to USB-C. It says that, starting in fall 2024, phones sold in Europe have to have USB-C charging ports.

So that means Apple will have to release a new version of the SE with a USB-C port before fall 2024, or they won't be able to sell the SE in Europe. Which would leave them with a pretty big hole in their product line.

I'm surprised that none of the big-name Apple prognosticators seem to have realized this yet. They're all predicting a new SE in 2025 or possibly later.
