New Mac Mini hinting to upcoming handwriting tool?

I just got back from the Apple store with the new Mac Mini, plugged it in and went into System Preferences and noticed a "new" icon named, Ink.

Hopefully this is new and I haven't just overlooked it in the past but my MBP doesn't have this after upgrading to 10.6.4, iMac 27 doesn't have it, nor the latest MacMini (before this refresh). Also this "Ink" is in 10.6.3, I haven't upgraded yet.

So maybe someone in the community has some more info.

No, it's not new. Ink normally shows up only if you have a wacom tablet connected.

Pretty sure that's been around for a while if you have a graphics tablet connected...

I have that too on my 20" iMac 2GHz from 2007, due to having a tablet connected to it.

OHHHHHH ok, I just thought it was weird. I have absolutely nothing extra plugged in. Magic Mouse, BT Keyboard and thats it and never noticed it before.

I just new the knew "handwriting/pen" tablet rumors were out and this being brand new from them it may point somewhere. Oh well
