Hi.
I have an early 2008 Mac Pro and have given it a boost with new RAM.
The only way I can get it to see the memory is by using the "control/alt/p/r" PRAM method - each time I open up..
Is there a way I can get the old lady to remember it's there?
Cheers

I mean manufacturer and description, i.e. ecc, rdimm etc.
All ram sticks need to be the same spec.

Thanks one and all for your help. My Mac Pro is now reading all the ram. Maybe it just needed a few starts for it to remember? Anyway, fingers crossed it's all working.

Cheers.

A (delayed) update in case anyone is interested. My Mac stopped reading the ram again almost immediatly. It turns out I'd been sent faulty units. The replacements have all been fine. I dealt with Dr Memory from Manchester in the UK and a thumbs up to them.
