I am just curious if anyone else is experiencing issues with playing videos on news articles using the News App on Mojave?
On my 2017 MBP w/TB, I noticed it today while watching a long news video (about 30 minutes), and noticed my keyboard was really warm. I checked iStat menus and sure enough my temps had gone from 34 celsius, all the way up to 74 celsius.
I stopped the video, closed the app, and let me MacBook Pro cool back down to 32 degrees celsius, then opened the app (no temp changes), and tried a different long video on the News App on a different article, and sure enough the temp began spiking up to the 70s.
I tested a youtube video in safari browser and my machine only went up to 42C, so I am curious if anyone else is experiencing this issue? A 40 degree spike just for watching a video in the News App seems excessive.
