I have installed Windows 7 on iMac 4,1 and Windows had most of the drivers I needed without bootcamp except audio, I installed the audio driver from a Leopard 10.5 install dvd. Windows 7 had the display driver but there is no option to adjust the brightness, I have tried to install the display driver from Leopard install dvd and bootcamp 3.0 and the display driver would not install, on bootcamp 3.0 only the Ati Catalyst Control Center would install not the display driver and on Leopard install dvd it would say that the driver is not compatible

You can try to extract the Boot Camp Control Panel (AppleControlPanel.exe) from the Boot Camp installer package; this allows adjusting the brightness, among other things.
