No display.

Hey,

Having a problem with my 2006 mac pro. The other day the system crashed! It now it boots, chimes but no display! I can still press the caps lock button and it lights, again the light on the front stays there too!

The mac is a A1186 upgraded to two quad core processors and 32gb of ram.

So far I have reset the NVRAM, changed my graphics card from a GTX 560 to a HD 5770 and still no luck. I can also boot from my ssd on another mac. I have also switched out to the factory ram.

Anyone got any ideas? I'm stuck

Perhaps the file system on the boot drive had become corrupt. The instructions in this post may be helpful:

So I've tried different HDD and SSD with various Os x on with modified boot efi. I would try this however I'm waiting for a original GPU to show up so I can see the boot screen as the ones I have only show once the os has loaded! Thank you!
