i figured I’d brush out my old iPad 2 GSM (A1396) and update it to iOS 9.3.6, but when I checked on the iPad itself or in iTunes it kept saying iOS 9.3.5 was the newest version.
I did some digging and apparently Apple never released an update for the iPad 2 GSM model. They did for the iPad 2 CDMA model, but not GSM. Considering my old iPhone 4S GSM model updated, I find this very odd.
Anyone have any idea why? The GPS should need to be fixed in both models. Did Apple just forget the GSM model or is there something preventing that model from updating?
