No longer receiving notifications for kik messenger.

I've had my iphone 5 for a week now and yesterday I just stopped receiving notifications when someone would message me on Kik messenger.

Badge icons/sounds/view in lockscreen options are all selected in the notifications menu. The only way to get messages is to actually have kik open, which isn't really ideal.

I still have my iphone 4 on iOS 5.0 and I get notifications on there just fine..any ideas?

Anyone? Kik messenger is the only thing I use to send messages so this is pretty vital.

I turned on the "message preview" button and it started to notify me

That's weird. Try resetting the device to factory settings.

Same problem

I am having the same problem. I have an iphone 4 and am running iOS 7.1. All my settings are correct but only getting notified of messages when app is opened. Have you found a solution?

Try deleting Kik by holding it until it wiggles on the home screen, then clicking the X that appears. You can redownload a copy on the App Store.
