No mail notification

I've got the apple watch 4 paired with my iphone X. When I get an email, my iphone doesn't wake up to show the notification. I guess its because of my watch. But my apple watch doesn't wakeup either to show the notification. There isn't a haptic feedback either on my watch. if i wake up the screen there is notification dot.

But should i not get an haptic feedback or notification on my watch to show there is an email?
