No Number with iphone3g sim !! help !

i bought a iphone 3g in apple store yesterday, they had to do it manually instead of enterering details in the computers, so i cant activate the iphone 3g in itunes with no sim number ? what should i do ?

i phoned apple they told me to call o2 which im doing right now ? any other ways of getting the mobile number ?

O2 are going to take all weekend to activate all the phones they did on paper on the friday... you'll just have to wait I'm afraid.

I notice the 'My O2' on the website has crashed today.. so you can't even check account status.
