No way to subscribe in YouTube app

So I was in YouTube and wanted to subscribe to the channel but could not find any way to do it. I had to come out of the app go to YouTube the web, subscribe, go back to the app and my subscription was there
Have I missed something??

I'm really tired so I apologize ahead of time for any errors, but here it goes.

If you go to any video from the person that you want to subscribe to, shrink down the video so you can see the comments and video details. Then select the "More videos from" tab, and right under that it should have a subscribe button.
