I've got a macmini with two lacie extreme drives plugged in the back (acting as backups for this and other macs in the house, and iTunes/iPhoto libraries)
When I wake the macmini from sleep, both the drives start whirring away even though I haven't asked them to do anything. This is a bit noisy in a quiet room - esp. first thing in the morning...
Can anything be done about this - eg, is it possible for them to be set to sleep unless specifically woken?
