iPhone XS Not sending back old phone IUP

So im in the iPhone upgrade program where you can get a new phone every year.

I did the pre approval for the new pro. When I get the new pro can I just pay off my old loan instead of sending my XS to apple?

Then I own the phone and it has AppleCare on it still as well?

Yes you can do that. Call citizens one to pay off the remaining balance.

Yes you can. You also don't need to pay off the old loan, you can continue to pay the original loan.

They should give you an option to turn in an old phone or not. I would call them or go to a store to confirm.

No, with Verizon, if you order a new phone and don't return your old phone to them they will put a charge for the full amount of the old phone onto the next billing cycle.
