Notification summary disappears during screen 'down time' and doesn't come back afterwards

I often have several notifications in my evening summary at 5pm, which I don't get round to reading before my screen 'down time' begins at 6. When down time ends at 8.30, the summary is gone.

Apart from turning off down time, is there a way around this?
