Notifications pulldown

Whenever I get a notification and pull it down, notification center doesn't pull all the way down, but just shows the whole notification. Is there an option to Change that?

If it's a text message, that's the new quick reply feature.

Just swipe up the new notification then pull down to get the Today screen.

Seems like that pull-down behavior has changed in iOS 8 to account for quick reply/action type of features (instead of revealing notification center). Perhaps as an alternative you could try swiping the notification up (maybe even just a bit of the way, or fully) and then pulling down which should hopefully get the notification center.
