I noticed a good while ago that Panther now has an ntfs kernel extension. Can someone with access to an NTFS formatted hard drive confirm that this actually works? Also, if they could test things such as if its read-only or read-write.

According to the Mac OS feature comparison page, NTFS support is read only.

hey I just plugged in my NTFS drive and it is read only. But still an improvement over Jag. Trying to copy a file over reads that the drive cannot be modified. and the circle with line through it indicates when trying to drag a file into the NTFS drive

Thanks for reminding me to try this out =)
