Hi all,

Sorry if this was mentioned before, but I can't seem to find any information on it.

I know the new MP (7,1) has PCI express slots for customization, but if I wanted to put in a (lets say) 2080 Ti, and run ubuntu on it to train AI/ML models, does anyone know if this is possible? Does the power supply have the standard 6pin/8pin power connectors for this?

I assume that second port on the MPX modules is the power? does this mean we can't use nvidia GPUs even if we install linux/windows?

Apple has explicitly said that you can use GPUs without using the MPX module, with standard power pins from the PSU. They said it when the machine was first revealed

So for TWO 8 pin & 6 pin GPUs one can plug extra 6 pin cables into the right side of any of the MP 7,1's 8 pin sockets ? Assuming that the 8 pins are standard sockets
