Kind of funny and sad seeing the regular 13 having 2.5 hours better than the 12, and 13 Pro 1.5 hours better than the 12 Pro, when the 12 and 12 pro have the same size battery. Just my opinion.

But people on the other threads are buying the 13 Pro as they state that it has better battery life than the regular 13, so im really confused by this. Like you said, and Apple stated in their presentation, 13 has 2.5 hours better battery than the 12, and 13 Pro 1.5 hours better life than the 12 Pro. I am really confused by this. Either way im getting the 13 mini anyway.

At the beginning with software optimization, it probably will. The people who are doing the draining test are doing it before any battery degradation. 6-12 months is when you'll see the difference imo.

Let’s not forget that the Pro has the variable refresh rate that the regular one doesn’t. That will help preserving battery life as well, hence a slightly smaller battery could give you even more time on the Pro model.

Yes i was thinking this also, the Pro motion variable refresh rate might be the equalising factor, so that it gets similar battery life to the regular 13 E.g. Static non moving page on 13 Pro like a news article will drop down to 10Mhz on the Pro so use less battery, but the same page will be refreshing at 60 Mhz on the standard 13 using more battery than the Pro in the same scenario.
