I jsut received my Lombard yesterday. Booted it up, no problems. I used it all yesterday, rebooted it a couple times and everything. The screen and everything is great and it handles Panther surprisingly well!

So I go to boot it up just now and I get the system chime but then nothing. No onscreen display, no apple on the back lighting up but I can hear the hardware running. Do I need a PMU battery or something or is this thing dead? I sure hope it isn't dead.

Alright here's an update:

I'm typing on it right now. I have no idea why it does this but it will only boot fully if I plug it in and the green "standby" light turns on for like 5 seconds and the computer spins up and then turns off. After that it boots up like a champ.

Anything anyone can add?

Yeah I know MacWorld was a couple of days ago but come on now! A little help in between the flood of "HAY GUYZ MACBOOK LOL" threads would be nice.
