Old AW charging station with AWU2

Hello there

im considering buying a new AWU2 and I’m already using a Ceramic Serie 5, which is very difficult to let go.

Before plunging, I read somewhere the AWU2 is too big to be used with the old white charging station that Apple used to sell.

Is that the case?

also does it do fast charging or do I need to buy a new charging station?

AFAIK there have been two generations of that charger, the second one slightly tweaked. I‘m quite sure you can charge an Ultra while the charging puck is flat, but it might not work in the upright position. It will absolutely not fast charge, though, as it was discontinued before fast charging became a thing.

Ah thanks. I was not aware about the fast charging element. I guess I’ll have to buy the Belkin, then.
