old docking

So I have a dock that was purchased with my old 5th gen iPod about 4 years ago. It's not a universal dock (doesn't have a remote), but I'm curious as to if it will work with the iPhone assuming I get the right white plastic thing to put ontop.

I'm hoping to avoid having to pay for another dock when the one I currently have will suffice.

if your dock have 2 holes and "sunk" frame to fit the inserts it will work with any apple product.
