Simple question,

I own an old iSight webcam, the FW one, in some instances it would be easier to use an external webcam rather than the integrated one as to be able to show details or change viewing angle during a videochat but when I plug it the OS doesn't always recognize it and even the usual flash apps using the cam don't always detect it.

The MBPro has no FW400 port so what I do is to connect it either with a FW800->FW400 cable or through an external HD which is connected through FW800 and which also has a FW400 port, the camera seems to switch on but doesn't show on the available devices, any idea on how to make it work?

Thanks
