iPhone 6(S)/Plus Older I phones slowed

Hey guys i just read online today a newspaper article talking about apple slowing down older iphones 7 and down , with software. This obviously seems like a sales gimmick at first , they addressed this however and said it was due to conserving the batteries on the older models.

I dont know if this is old news as a south africa news agency reported this. We are a little behind the rest of you on the apple market in general i believe. Anybody get any wind of this ?

Old news. Many threads and articles on this.
Laptops do the same thing to conserve battery power and protect the data. Time to move on....
