OneDrive to backup contents of desktop on my Mac

Hi all,

This was the most suitable that I could find, please move it as per necessary.

I understand that I can use my OneDrive desktop client to backup my entire desktop by setting it to copy any changes that are made after an initial copy.

Can anyone show me how to do this? I have scoured Google, but to no avail.
