I have a Maxtor OneTouch 4 that I have been using in the past with a PC (since about 2010) but no longer need it for my PC but would like to reformat it to work with OSx 10.8 so I can backup my iMac to get ready to install OSx El Capitan 10.11. My question is: Is my OneTouch 4 too old to be reformatted to work with my iMac just for the purpose of creating a Duplicate Backup to ensure no problems happen during my upgrade?
