Open Directory tutorials or books

anyone knows where I can find tutorials or books about open directory because I tried to find on amazon and google but I cant find anything I need books or tutorial about how to install , configure and administer an open directory environment

I'm assuming you are looking at OpenDS? https://www.opends.org/wiki if so what configuration instructions are you after? Client or Server?

If you are talking about Apple's implementation of open directory, they use the opensource package openLDAP and add a nice GUI and other features to it. search for something on LDAP, and maybe a book on mac os x server if that is what you are trying to do.

If you are not looking at using Mac OS X server, then any linux/unix distro will work as an LDAP server.
