Hi

I search for an Open Source "Apple Music" alternatives. Because Apple Music constantly advertises the streaming subscription..

I have about 1 GB of local music (as MP3 like in the good old days).
I would like to sync this MP3 collection from macOS to iPhone and listen to it (also streaming to BT speakers).

Is there a nice FLOSS music player for macOS and iPhone?

Thank you

Only VLC is Open Source in this list.
Those are closed source players

Ah my apologies, I missed the "open source" part, I thought you were simply looking for alternative players. Then yes, I'm afraid it's only VLC, I'm not aware of any others.

Maybe Jellyfin.

It's more than a music player: it's a way to manage various media (video/music/photos). Moreover it has a server/client architecture.

I don't think a proper syncing is available: rather a download feature for offline listening (or simply streaming directly from the server – sort of personal cloud service).

I prefer an offline solution, copy MP3 files on device and play with Open Source Player

Thank you for recommendation, but I don't buy music (I am old-school torrenting) and I wish something Open Source

I can't test because I'm an Apple Music subscriber, but there used to be a "Show Apple Music" switch you could turn off in settings -> Music if you weren't a subscriber, to hide it from view. Did that option go away at some point?

Pretty cool, thanks for sharing this.
