I have a problem with the "open with" dropdown list for a specific filetype, namely Ableton Live project files. It lists a beta version that I had prevously installed and now uninstalled, and when I try to switch to the newer "12 Suite" version and click "change all", it reverts back to the beta version immediately.

I made sure there are no files and folders of the beta version left on my system. And I already tried rebuilding the launch services via Onyx and also via the typical Terminal commands that are recommended in other threads. None of these helped, because from what I understand this only deletes duplicates in the list, but the Live 12 Beta is not seen as a duplicate.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

It's somewhere on your disk, but invisible. Files and folder that starts with "." are invisible in Finder.
You can show hidden files by pressing cmd-shift-. in Finder.
