Orange will most likely contact you when your iPhone is unlocked. For now just wait.

everywhere is saying "unknown" or locked.. not sure what to listen too..

Just wait for the 20 days to be up. If you still haven't heard back by then, then just call Orange for an update on the unlocking. If I'm not mistaken, Carriers don't actually unlock iPhones, Apple does. Carriers just send Apple a request.

I'm sure 100% apple doesn't lock the phones it's the carriers that do. Orange just need to send the request to update the database..

August 24 you said that it had been a week and a half which would put you requesting the unlock on the 14th, so it has been 2 weeks and 1 day at the most which is 15 days, according to you they said it could take up to 20 days be patient and wait. If it isn't unlocked by September 3rd call them again and ask what's going on. It wouldn't surprise me too much if they had said 20 business days which would put the max out even longer.

Damn EE they are useless at everything. Ask them a thousand questions and you'll be fobbed off all the time.
