I have seen it arround

I have seen OS 9.2 arround on the web. It is probably just shipping later than it should be... Has any one bought one of the new iMacs or G4's. They are suposed to ship with 9.2. Is it there or are we still waiting on Apple?

The new G4's ship with OS 9.2

This will not work (reportedly) with any other Mac expect the quicksilver macs.

Note: When Apple releases new machines, they almost always ship with a slightly incremented version of the OS. This is because these machines didn't exist when OS 9.1 was released.

So, I wouldn't read much into it... it probably is just a version that the new machines need to run. It isn't a full 9.2 install and won't work on older machines yet.

9.2 works on other macs

9.2 does indeed seem to be floating around the web...it works just fine, although there are no discernable differences from 9.1...

A side note: if you happened to come across a copy of OS X 5F24, it will ask you whenever you start Classic if you want to install 9.2....

Re: Is there a site that I can get 9.2 from?

the usual file transfer ways on the net...however, the software is still propietary (even though Apple will probably offer 9.2 free, likely along with 10.1), so "how to get it" isn't really an appropriate topic for message boards.
