You also don't need to go to 10.10 from 10.9
You can bypass 10.10 completely, and upgrade to 10.11 (which is still easy to download from Apple, or even go to 10.13, assuming your Mac supports that - - all with no intermediate upgrades needed, just go straight to the latest macOS.

Might as well move to 10.11 unless you have some specific need for 10.10. The system requirements for the two are the same, far as I know, and El Capitan has been stable on my Mac Pro 1,1 for a long time now. No issues with it.

The reason for going to 10.10 and NOT 10.11 is that some of my Adobe suit CS6 Software will don't work on and past 10.11 specifically After effects CS6.

NOW at the risk of jinking myself I found a MAC OS 10.10 Install disk on EBAY! its on the way

I would never understand why would someone sell installation disks of macOS (by the way, TS - the disc is not official) on Ebay - now I do. Thanks to folks like TS, who willingly pays 15 dollars for software, which he could get even from me free of charge with the same effect.

Ah...I just sent you a convo. Could've saved the $15. But at least you got it going.
