Not a major problem this one, more of a minor worry:
When I start up in OS X I have problems with the menu bar clock and icons (monitors, volume, internet connect etc) On my G3 powerbook they fail to appear until I launch an application and on my G4 400 they flash on and off for a couple of minutes before settling down.
This isn't a major problem, as I said, but it does slow down the whole process of starting up and I wonder whether it's indicative of any underlying problems.
Any ideas anyone?
