i have a g3 333 imac with 128mb memory and standard 6gb hdd (blueberry ) will osx run on this imac as im having troubles gettign software for os9 the machien basically crashes if you run limewire and ituned at the same time i beleive becasuse of these old versions of the software are resource hogs i was wondering if i instaled osx and turned off all the nice new gui oriented features will it be alright to use

basically all my sister wants to do on it is download mp3's check her email and play them with itunes she regulary checks new mp3's ses downloaded with ituned while running limewire

im sure ther are better less resource hungry programs than limewire for osx
this machine is basically on its last legs i currently use an x86 machine (fx-53 and 9800xt) which is to loud so i am planning on workign hard till end of the finacial year then buying a powerbook for me and mayby a higher spec imac or a 500mhz ibook for my sister as all she doe sis listens to mp3's and type up her homeowrk on it

i woudl also like to mention that when i installed limewire on my machine it ran like a PIG and well i have quite a high spec machine so for it to chug means its resource hungry right?

cna u plz tell em if i can install osx (10.3) on is or what version of osx owuld run best on it as well has how to tweak it so all the fancy effects are to a minimum i dont need AA and the really awesom strtchy thing osx does

thanks in advance

Sorry about this rant, but good god, you're not IMing, you're not text messaging...so please SPELL out words!
I had TWO kids in my class turn in papers in that kind of short hand, how much longer does it take to write out things?

i've had 10.3 running and installed on a bondi blue first generation imac with only 128 MB of ram. it works, it's slow but everything works. if you just need it for occasional use it's fine - some have reported that they will use 256 mb upto 512 for some.

for "sharing" try - xfactor - it's lighter.

So, if you're wondering "what's wrong" with typing a post like a 5 year old with a broken keyboard, consider the fact that everyone's responding about how you ask rather than answering your question. Seriously, there is something to be gained by posting questions that are actually readable -- you might actually get some help.

Lear to type buddy, then ask your questions.

owned!!
there is no need to bring your attitude onto the forums just because your an english teacher doens't meant you can tell someone half way aorund the world how he or she should type, why should i put proper punctuation if i wanted to feel like i was doing report for work or feel like i was in school i wouldnt come here and post

i come here to replax and learn more about macs and if all mac users are like you then i simply will stick to windoze and linux if thats the way it is ill take my 6g and go spend it at the casino or something

"Whitty?" Oh, you mean "witty"! Hey, thanks! I thought of it myself. I even typed it myself. I'm a big boy now, and can type (and punctuate) like a grown up.

Okay, not a problem. You see, like our computers, we have higher standards here. Punctuation, grammar and spelling are all little, but important, skills that demonstrate the ability to communicate.
Quick question, if you are from halfway around the world, do they not teach english there? I tell you I would triple check any posting I made in a language that was not native to me.
Oh, and I understand the use of improper grammar from people whom english is not native, but typos are just lazy. American English grammar is quite tough to learn, but spelling and punctuation can be mastered with much less effort.
Good thing Word for Mac has built in grammar and spell checkers.

Owned?? Nope, I'm actually 15 years old; not an English teacher. ;) Maybe “windoez” is the better platform for you buddy.

Most Mac users are nice folks, and I'm sure YOU are too. I (as well as others) only implied that your post is hard to understand - mainly because there's no punctuation whatsoever, and way too much internet slang to have an intelligent discussion about a possibly complex subject matter.
