Resolved Outlook for iOS constantly “Updating…”

Does anyone know a fix for Outlook for iOS constantly showing the “Updating…” pop up inside the app?

I’ve reinstalled the app, reset the account etc but it won’t go away and annoyingly blocks the screen.

I just had this problem and fixed it. It turns out that I had an IMAP account that was frozen. Outlook was continually checking it and trying to update. When I deleted the account the issue resolved.
