free with in-paid options? most games used to be 99 cents or so, now things appear to be shifting to free with in app purchases available.

do you guys have any particular preference?
others are free for the "lite" version and an upgrade for a better version.

For me it would depend on the game or app. If the app have a lot of options that would not appeal to everybody, you can consider lowering the price and going with add-ons. If it's free it must be really free, meaning you can complete the game without buying stuff. If you have bonus non vital items obtained through app purchases, that would be fine with me. If buying items is mandatory, that should be a paid app.
