10.13.6. HFS+ file system. 1 TB drive. I plan to reduce the file system to about 500GB and make large partition to install Linux on. I have the Disc Utility open. There is 982.45 GB free after fresh install. I have not used the partitioning tool before. Is there a point beyond which I cannot back out. I see "Revert" button, presently greyed out and "Cancel" button.
