Password protect external HD used for Carbon Copy Cloner?

I use Carbon Copy Cloner to back my Mac up on my external HD. But I want to protect the data, so people can't just plug the external HD in to their computer and see all my files. Would it be possible to make it, so that you have to enter a password before viewing the files on the external HD?
