iPad Pencil tips

How do you know when it needs changed? Also has anyone tried to replace the tips and used a generic tip? Do those even work on the Apple Pencil or do you have to use apple tips? If generic can be used has anyone tried the fine tip?

I think I’m good for now but I am curious since I decided to look for sms do the future.

What kind of “generic” tip are you referring to? AFAIA there aren’t any third party tips for the Apple Pencil, are they? There are loads of third party pencils with a variety of different tip materials so…
