Today, my screen started showing phantom messages with random dates 12/31/00. Some are people i haven’t texted with in over a year. Some are people I’ve texted with in the past month or two. But this just started today and nothing seems to clear them from the CarPlay screen. They aren’t on my iPhone X, MacBook Pro, iPad, Apple Watch...it makes no sense. I’ve restored my iPhone and they still appear in CarPlay. Apple Tech support had no solution. ♂️

If you have less than 10 text threads in the message app on an iPhone, it pulls phantom threads which aren’t even active and fills the space. They have dates like 12/31/00 which makes no sense. There’s no way to clear the CarPlay screen of them which is frustrating.
