I have the Alpine i209-wra in my Jeep. That unit only supports wired carplay. When I talk to people with carplay connected, they complain about the audio - some describe the problem as feedback, some say echo, one has even said it sounded like other people were talking. When this happens, I unplug the phone, which causes the head unit to switch to bluetooth. Everyone agrees the sound quality improves when it switches to bluetooth. The phone, btw, is a 7+ fully updated.
